Laura comes to Nutrition Dynamix with over 20 years of experience working in hospitals, clinics, and private practice. She holds degrees in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Colorado State University and Psychology from SUNY New Paltz in NY. She completed her internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard teaching school, in Boston in 2001.
She has provided both individual and group counseling for various medical conditions and weight management programs. Laura also taught cooking classes for Adams County and Longmont United Hospital’s cardiac rehab program.
She takes a supportive approach using motivational interviewing techniques which empower a patient to be center stage when making health and lifestyle decisions. Her approach to health is also holistic and non-diet-focused, helping to improve a persons’ well-being through sleep, stress management, and activity as well as nutrition.
When away from work, she enjoys yoga, hiking, walking her 2 energetic rescue dogs, and spending time traveling with her husband and teenage daughter.
